Erik Van Wyk
Erik is a constantly evolving commercials director. As a high-concept storyteller each execution is informed by the bigger advertising idea and ignited by the characters driving the emotional nuance of the story. Erik’s visuals are designed, cinematic and combine layers of refined in-camera and subtle post-production techniques specific to each project. His diverse body of award-winning work includes projects for global brands Johnnie Walker, Honda and Ikea, and leading international agencies Wieden+Kennedy, The Martin Agency and BBH. He is a creative turned director. He was an art director and writer respectively. He studied art, industrial robotics engineering, philosophy and photography.
